2009 was another excellent year in our Malibu Estate. A warm spring turned into a mild early summer - excellent for complex flavors and aromas to develop. A slight heat spike in September brought our grapes to optimal maturity, with sugars, acids, and flavors all coming together for great balance.

Characteristics
A very elegant, medium-bodied wine, exhibiting nuances of pear, apple, Meyer lemon, and tropical fruit, with a subtle hint of creamy vanilla from French oak aging. The fresh, lingering finish is rich and complex. Not your usual California heavily oaked, buttery style Chardonnay. Compliments a wide array of foods
